    <content type="html">&lt;span&gt;By "text", I meant you can use &amp;lt;b&amp;gt;, &amp;lt;a&amp;gt; and &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;, but that's all stuff that shows up as text--you can't include images or formatting in one-line or short stories, apart from what you pass in template_data.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;For contacting users, there are the &lt;a href="http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Notifications.sendEmail"&gt;notifications.sendEmail&lt;/a&gt; and &lt;a href="http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Notifications.send"&gt;notifications.send&lt;/a&gt; API methods. You provide feed stories to Facebook in three sizes: one-line, short, and full. In full stories you can use HTML, but full stories don't normally show up on the user's friends' News Feeds (I don't think).
