By "text", I meant you can use <b>, <a> and <br>, but that's all stuff that shows up as text--you can't include images or formatting in one-line or short stories, apart from what you pass in template_data.

The Allowed FBML and HTML Tags page in the Facebook dev docs specifies the markup you can use in feed stories. You provide feed stories to Facebook in three sizes: one-line, short, and full. In full stories you can use HTML, but full stories don't normally show up on the user's friends' News Feeds (I don't think).
